Hi and thank you for choosing Just Answer.
I am Tech Michael and I will be assisting you today.
Please be patient as these are technical questions that may require a bit of conversation to solve. Also remember to be detailed in your description of the problem. That will help me make a diagnosis quickly for you.
How old is your coffee maker?
Did this happen while in use that the light didn't go out?
Or was it lit one day before you went to use the unit?
Thank you

3-4 yrs. came on after cleaning
Expert:  Michael replied 2 years ago.
Hi thank you for that info.
This is a sensor problem. It may clear if you can unplug the unit from power, then turn it upside down. Then bang on the bottom of the unit. This may help only of there hasn't been any water spillage into the units in places where it should get.
Tap the bottom while its upside down, firmly about 10 times.
If this helps you are in good shape.
But if it does not help, then let me know and I will help you further with this problem. I will be out for a few hours but will see your message when I return and will reply as soon as I get in ;-)
If it works, please rate kindly, if not do not rate yet but simply reply.
Thank you

Hi unfortunately there has been water spillage into the units so will not work,I have turned it upside down and am leaving it to dry out.probably ruined the whole machine.pete
Expert:  Michael replied 2 years ago.
Thanks Pete, sorry that happened. That means the sensor for the container is damaged and needs to be replaced. If you are a bit handy and have a few basic hand tools you can do this yourself and save a few bucks with my assistance.
If not you would need to send it out for this fix. Let me know on that and either way I will point you in the right direction for either the part or the best service center to send the unit in.
Also Please rate my service kindly thus far, and thank you!
It is the only way I receive credit for my time with you;-)
It won't cost you anything additional to rate;-)
Have a great day Pete!
Thank you!
