Hiya............I'm dealing with a Tempra 24 which fires for 5 seconds then shuts down completely and requires manually resetting and the problem resumes............no shut down warning light illuminates. Possibly a thermostat defect ? Obviously I'm reluctant to go to the expensive PCB replacement unless no option. Your help would be appreciated.

Hi Ian..........I presumed I was involved with a Ferroli Tempra 24 gas boiler Gas Safe registered engineer familiar with boiler troubleshooting....as a home appliance engineer I'm not sure you're the right person ???

Hi again Ian.......I really need to connect to a Ferrolli gas boiler engineer who has much experience with the Tempra 24 troubleshooting/diagnostic fault finding where I as an installer have limitations in this area. I am obviously reluctant to part with £27 unless I liase with the right man.

Norman ~ no problems I'm sure we will have one on here who works directly for Ferrolli but you may have to wait whilst they log on.

Hi. If the boiler has fired this proves the fan , air pressure switch . it will most likely be the flow thermostat or the flame recognition probe , but as you are not getting a fault code it will most likely be the flow thermostat .if its a thermistor this can be tested on ohms with a multimeter, it will be within a certain range at a certain temp . but you should get a change with temp change. I have worked for British gas as a boiler breakdown engineer , plus others
