Customer Question

We have a Siemans integrated dishwasher;
SE65e330GB/72
Type S9JIS
FD8605
PROBLEM:
When the 'on' button is pressed, the machine tries to start rather that when the door is shut.
When the door is shut, the 'drain' noise just continues.
I have tried resetting - holding done the two reset buttons & switch off at mains for over 2 hours but no result.
Any ideas please?

Hi William, welcome to Just answer ... it seems either their is water in the base of the appliance or the door lock is bad ... with the dishwasher unplugged pull it out and lay it on its back by around 45 degrees and make sure all water is drained out ... after this remove the bottom front panel and clean the drain pump mechanism...make sure it is completely dry...plug it back and then let me know how it goes.________________________________________________________________________________________If you have further questions I will be pleased to assist you .. Kevin - SIEMANS DISHWASHER

I completed the procedure you suggested but with no improvement.

So is it the door catch sensor?

Many thanks, William

Expert:  KevinWhiteJA replied 2 years ago.
Yes William, you will have to replace the door interlock assembly ... a new one will cost around £35

Kevin

I replaced the door Interlock but no difference.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks, William

William, you are sure that the base is empty and there are no leaks
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Kevin

Thanks for your swift response.

The BASE - I assume you mean the internal sump, is empty. I sloshed some clean water in & it empties fine.

LEAKS - no leaks. I've pulled the machine completely out.

One thought I've had is that it might be mice damage... There have been mice behind the units, including the dishwasher - maybe they have got in & chewed through some electrical cabling...

Best Regards, Wiliam
