It sounds like the appliance is mid-program. Lets try reset the board..
Turn the dial to off.
Press and hold, simultaneously, the start button and the button to the left of it.
While holding, turn the dial 1 click clockwise.
The lights flash, release the buttons and the lights scroll.
Turn the dial clockwise through each position till you get to off again; whilst doing so, at the 10th position clockwise, note any error code shown in the display or, if no display, count how many times the start flashes red, then green.
One you have reached the OFF position, turn the dial to any program and then back to off.
This will have reset the board.

Have done so and it appears at position 10 i get 1 red flash no code.at the end it says ELE and at the moment the door appears to be working. Will leave for a while and tty later
Expert:  George-Allsorts replied 1 year ago.
The one red flash is a code
1 red flash but no green flash = 10 (E10)= Water fill difficulty
If you are also getting (ELE), you are being instructed that there is an issue with the heating element of either the washer or the dryer.
regards
George
