Hello, my name is George..

Is the drum of the appliance tumbling during the wash cycle?
How much washing was in the drum?

Kindly be patient whilst awaiting any responses from me as I'm not constantly available.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Middling load in the machine and everything seemed OK until machine stopped working when it came to spin cycle.

Is there any water left in the tub of the appliance?

Can you tell me approximately how long you have had the appliance?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

We have been astonished to discover that we have had the appliance for over 11 years - and as we require a washing machine facility immediately we have decided to replace it. Thank you for your time and assistance.

The reason I asked this is that the cause is probably the motor brushes needing changing.. This will cost but a few pounds if you are doing the job yourself.
