Hello Pete,

The way to get rid of the suds is to keep dowsing them with cold water..

The E-09 on the SMS Series is an instruction to tell you there is a problem with the heating circuit.

I would get rid of the suds and try again..

I have already got rid of the suds and it is showing the same error code.

When I try and run it through a cycle the water is not heating up at all

There are a few things that could cause the heater not to work but the main cause is the heater itself...

If you have a multimeter ot continuity tester, you can check the condition of the heater.. I can talk you through it if you wish?
