Screen reading IPL on Sharp XE A203 and no keys are responding. Have tried changing the batteries etc. Any ideas?

Remove batteries. Turn key to REG. Turn power off for 2 mins then on. Fit batteries

Apparently, this is a common problem that happens commonly when power is lost or batteries die...

I do believe that you may have a faulty board, but... try leaving the register in a warm room for a while to expel any damp that may be on the board and then try this:

-----------------------------------------
turn on machine
then open the printer cover
open the battery cover
remove battery one by one
then machine should display NO BATTERY
then put batterys back again one by one
then machine goes to the mulfunction.
display ***MRS***
turn off machine and turn on it
didnt came to normal condition press CL KEY.

Hi George,

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it didn't work. We had a power cut the day before which I think may have caused the problem and subsequently killing it! As I cannot be without a till, being a busy farm shop I had to give up and go and buy a new till, but thanks for trying.
