Hi there.I am Daniel and will do what I can to assist you. Please do not rate me until we are finished. Please feel free to ask as mush as you need. Is it an electric or petrol chainsaw for a start?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

ELECTRIC

Thanks for that info.

So when you plug it in and pull the 'trigger' nothing happens at all?

What you first need to do is make sure that power can get to the chainsaw. I'd first start by inspecting the power cable closely, and just make sure it hasn't been crushed, cut or damaged in any other way.

Then if all that checks out ok, my next step would be to check the fuse in the plug.

If you need further help with that, please let me know.

Also, if you could supply me with the make+model, that may also be helpful.

+i HAVE CARRIED OT THE CHECKS AND CABLKE AND FUSE APPEAR TO BE OK

to me then, sadly it seems as though the motor has given up.the other options, are that there is a problem with the trigger itself, but to test this it would need to be removed from the chainsaw and tested. and the only other option in my mind is that given the last time it was used was over 15 months ago, it may be that the blades are seized. you could perhaps try and put a bit of penetrating oil along the blades, let it soak in and try again.

The blades do not appear to be seized.

If you give me your address I will bring it to you.

Thank you,

Douglas
