We have a NEFF U1721 oven the oven light and fan come on but

Resolved Question:

we have a NEFF U1721 oven the oven light and fan come on but the oven does not get hot.
the RCD breaker on our fuse panel dropped out but resetting it does not fix the problem every thing else on the circuit works O.K.
Is there another fuse on the appliance ( which is built in ) that has blown ?

Hi

This isnt down to a blown fuse. It will be the heater element for the main oven thats failed. As when they go they can somtimes cause the RCD to trip out so when you reset it it comes on and the fan runs but it just doesnt get hot.

What you need to do is empty the oven and remove the shelfs and then remove the back panel.
There you will see the heater around the fan. Check to see if theres a visable burn mark on there.
You can then remove the heater and replace it from there and that will get the oven up and running again from there.

If you need anymore info just get back to me.
