what is the likely problem if there are no lights on the display for a hotpoint aquarius dwf 30 . i have chec ked the fuse and i have experience in white goods repair with british gas

Hi

If the power supply is good and the fuse is fine but no lights then its possibley the control module at fault here.

As you may or may not know this built Hotpoint dishwasher is actually made by Bosch and they have a recall fault on these dishwashers were the control board burns and causes the wiring loom to melt as well.

So you need to remove the outer metal door panel and then the front control panel and there you will see the control board. Inspect this and the wiring blocks at the bottom of it and see if theres signs of burning. If so then it needs to be replaced and the wiring repaired as well.
If that looks ok then you need to test the power going into the control board and if theres 230v but nothing lighting up then again its faulty and needs to be replaced.

But from the fault you describe its more then likely the control module at fault here.
