The expansion vessel or the PRV?Are you losing water through the 15mm copper pipe through the outside wall?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I don't know its raining out so can't tell

Can you put a bag over it and tape it on, or a balloon?
You will know by the morning if you refill and run again.

Would a dripping hot water tap cause the problem
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.
No, the heating system is a sealed system. Two ways out, a leak or the PRV - lets rule one out first before we check under all your floors.

Just checked the copper pipe outside and it is leaking

Ok, good in a way as you don't have to rip all your floorboards up!You need a new PRV fitting to your boiler - it should cost about £25 to buy plus fitting.

OK thanks let's hope that solves the problem
Expert:  Andrew Smith replied 1 year ago.
It will, it is supposed to hold up to 3 bar
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The pressure goes up to 7.4 when the heating is on

OK, 2 things then.Get you expansion vessel checked, either reinflated or replaced. Also it will have damaged the PRV so it will need replacing also.

Just had it reinflated it was 0.2 inflated it to 0.5 see what happens thanks
