We have a zanussi ZWH 7160P, bought FEB 2013.The intermittent fault is when a programme is chosen and the start button is pressed, the machine sometimes takes in water for a short time (sometiimes not) but the display shows the number 1 and then 0. Then nothing.
Up to now if the electricity is turned off for a significant time it works again! Help!

That is an indication that the appliance stopped without draining properly..
Please check the filter for debris..

I checked the filter straight away and there was nothing much there.

Lower the drain hose into a container whilst having water in the tub to see if the water is flowing through from the drain hose correctly.
