Hotpoint TCEL 87B - This tumble dryer rolls all clothing up

Customer Question

Hotpoint TCEL 87B - This tumble dryer rolls all clothing up in a ball or a sausage shape if sheets are being dried. Never come across this with any of the previous dryers I've owned.

Does the water content of the clothes seem greater than usual, when you remove them from the washer, before you put them into the dryer? Also inspect the vent hose and cap for lint blocking the air flow through the dryer.

HiCustomerClothing is fine after the appropriate spin in the washing machine. The tumble dryer is a condenser dryer so there is no vent!

The clothes condition is being caused by restricted air flow through the dryer. If your condenser is clogged with lint, and it cannot be cleaned out, it must be replaced. The condenser is available from www.buyspares.co.uk.Thank you for choosing Justanswer.

The condenser is cleaned regularly and the 'ball' effect has been a problem since day one, so much so that my wife seldom uses it due to crushing of the clothes and sheets/duvets in particular.
