David, if you are sure that the problem lies with the wash pump, disconnect one of the wires from the pump to prevent it from running.. if all goes quiet then you have your culprit.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

it is comming from the wash pump. the wash pump comes in 2 pieces. the heater and the pump. i am not sure if the noise is griding or crackling. the noise could be coming from either. do you have any idea which is most likely.

That depends on the type of crackling David (electrical or grinding)... It is less common for the heater to make noises than it is for the magnet part of the wash pump. Disconnect one wire from the rear of the wash pump.. If the crackling disappears then you know it is the pump

hi there. i have fitted a new circ pump and now the machine fills but when it comes to the circ cycle the lights flash and the drain pump starts. the drain pump stays on even when the door is open.

The drain pump running constantly is usually when you have a leak into the base.. Check for water in the base Also check that you have not wired the new pump incorrectly
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

the base seems ok. the pump has a plastic connector on it so i do not think it can be fitted wrong.

Is the pump only switching on when the circ pump starts?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

yes. the water goes in and when this happens for the expected time it stops then you would expect the circ pump to go. the old pump did go but was crunching. the replacement does not go at all. the water is just pumped out and the pump stays on constantly even if the door is open. i have checked the connections and they seem ok

Sounds like a faulty pump to me... Try the circ old pump back in , if the old circ pump works without causing the same problem then I suggest faulty circ pump.. If the old circ pump does the same then new board or heater insulation
