F6 is usually related to the Tachometer of the motor.. You could simply just require new brushes in the motor, or it may be that the motor windings have gone and you need a new motor. Another thing to try is to remove and insulate one of the wires from the heating element to break that circuit and sometimes a heating element leaking to earth can cause spurios errors.

hi there, i have seen the f06 fault and it has given a fault as the pump. is this possible

It is possible.. If the pump is faulty having an earth fault, but first port of call should always be the listed error.
