Just moved into a new house that has a glow worm combi

Customer Question

Just moved into a new house that has a glow worm combi boiler in the loft with the main danfoss controls in the old airing upboard and the programe control control in the sitting room. In the old airing cupboard there is a danfoss control with a prog button and a ch1 button. Beside that there is a main switch and beside that a switch with a red light above. All are switched off. How do I put the boiler on? How do I get hot water and what do I do with the ch1 button and prog button on the danfoss control.
I understand the program one in the sitting room but don't know how to put it all on to begin with. In my sixties living on my own and not very technical! Help please.

Can you read any model number on the control in the cupboard?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
No as in a different house at the moment. As far as I know the boiler was put in about 18 months ago and I think the programme controller in sitting room has 500 in the model soemwhere. By looking at controls online the model in the old airing cupboard is similar to pictures of the danfoss rx1

It is danfoss rx1 - took a pic on my phone.

Thank you but I presume that I put the switch next to the rx1 on and what do I do with the switch with the red light above it? If i put the main switch on and also the one with the red light above it on will I get hot water? When I put the main switch on and press the ch1 button the ch1 button has a red light come on and I can hear the boiler fire up in the loft. The last people in the house have just switched everythin off. I need to know how to swith it all back on. What does the prog button on the rx1 do?

When are you back over at the new house?

Customer: replied 6 months ago.
Saturday when I move in completely but BT can't connect my phone or internet there until 28 June. Am I right in thinking that the switch beside the rx1 switches the whole system on? Also, am I right in thimking that the switch with the red light is like an immersion heater switch and that when that is on along with main switch I will then get hot water? I just want to know which switches to switch on to get it to work.
Expert:  Dales-Electronic replied 6 months ago.

The RX1 only controls the heating to the house the hot water is controlled by the combi boiler itself so basically once the combi is connected to the electric supply when you open a tap the combi boiler notes a drop of water pressure and switches the hot water on. I will try and get you an instruction manual for the RX1 tomorrow and if you drop back in tomorrow evening I can send it to you.

Thank you. Do you think that if I put the main switch on and the one that looks like an immersion hot water switch I will get hot water. I put the immersion heater switch (the red light on it came on) on but not the main switch and didn't get hot water last weekend.
