I have neff double oven U1461S2GB/01. The fan oven does not

Customer Question

I have neff double oven U1461S2GB/01.
The fan oven does not heatup. both elements are OK (they are the normal oven element and the grill element), as the fan operates but no heat it suggests relay is not switching is this correct? Can I download a circuit or can you tell me how to approach the problem?
Thanks for your help

Hi,

Thank you for using Just Answer my name is ***** ***** I will help with your question. Could you let me know how you tested the oven element. Most faults with no heat are often caused by a faulty element. There could also be a thermal fuse near the element that could have gone open circuit.

I will look at the service manual and see what I can find.

Hi Carl
Sorry for delay. There is double element in the roof of the lower oven. One is the grill and the other is the conventional oven and they heat up when switched on via the "grill or Conventional oven" position on the Function selector knob on the left of the control panel.
As these are the only elements in the lower oven one of them must double as the element for the fan (circotherm and Circo-roasting) oven. The fan runs but no heat , I have the temperature selector at about 180.
Thanks for your help

Hi Ron,

Thank you for the reply. I may be wrong with this but I think there should be another element at the back of the oven with the fan in the middle. Could you remove the back panel inside of the oven and have a look if there is another element at the back if there is, this is the faulty element.

Hope this makes sense

Hi Carl
The oven is at my daughter's and I have just phoned her and yes there are some screws on the back of the oven , which suggests it will come out. As I am now on holiday until 6th August I cannot investigate. I will get back to you week commencing 8th August.
Many thanks
Ron
