Hello
I have just had my samsung sf returned to me after you have tested it.
The verdict is that the water has got in and damaged it.
It was sold to me as water resistant and meeting ip67.
surely it cant be my fault and my cost.
It was in a pocket with rainwater fot about 15 miutes when I got caught in a down pour.

Hi Peter, Im sorry to hear that.

Water resistant doesn't mean water proof.

What I would do, is remove the battery, and place the phone in a paper bag with about 2 cups of dry uncooked instant rice. Cover it with the rice , leave the battery cover off.

Shake the bag each day for 3 days. That has about a 75% success rate at wicking out all the moisture;-)

It is the best way to do this short of disassembling the entire phone.

Its also possible there is an electronic component that has become damaged due to the water but I would certainly they that trick;-)
