Customer Question

Hi MichaelMy engineer has checked everything and the heater is OK but he has a query regarding the bimetal stat which has two yellow wires and 2 blue wires. Both have continuity and are closed circuits. Should one be open circuit? I hope this makes sense to you.

Hi Susan, it sounds like you have a thermostat which is dual purpose, one side to manage defrost and the other coolant.

With the appliance above desired temp, one should be open circuit and the other closed circuit.

I hope that helps clarify the situation.
