How to repair?
Expert:  Dales-Electronic replied 8 months ago.

This indicates that the processor isnt being advised that there is water going into the appliance. This is usually one of the following -

a. Water supply has not been turned on.

b. Water pressure is very low.

c. Flow meter (this measures the water into the appliance and informes the processor when sufficient is supplied. - looks like a small turbine in the water supply line)

d. Faulty wiring to/from the flowmeter to the pcb.

Hello. Thank you for the reply. I checked the water supply line, drained, tightened and everything seems fine there.Reran the dishwasher on the 1 hour cycle. It stops with 20 some minutes left to go and gives the E1 error. Could this be a faulty flow meter? Or something else I should try? Thanks again!

Was it full of water or empty when it stopped?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
The bottom of the dishwasher had some water and soap in it. It wasn't full enough to be pouring out of the machine and I did verify it is expelling water out the waste tube.
Expert:  Dales-Electronic replied 8 months ago.

OK could you put it on a prewash and advise if it goes all the way through?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
There is no prewash cycle on the model I have. Is there another cycle I can try?
Expert:  Dales-Electronic replied 8 months ago.

A cycle that does not heat the water. Rapid perhaps

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Tried on rapid, still got the E1 error.

Do you have a multimeter? I need you to be able to check the wiring.

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
Where would I look for the multimeter? Also, the wiring has not changed in the two years I've owned the dishwasher.
Expert:  Dales-Electronic replied 8 months ago.

Firstly if you have had a failure of one of the components it is likely that part of the wiring or end plug will be damaged. You need the multimeter to test out the wiring.
