Hi

How many wires are on this thermostat, Is it 2 or 3?

What colour wires do you have?

Regards

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
3 wires black brown purple
Expert:  Daniel replied 2 months ago.

Ok the black is the compressor wire so will go to tag number 4 on the thermostat.

The brown is the live in and goes to number 3.

Then the purple will be the wire for the light and this goes to number 6 on the thermostat.

Wire it up like this and that will be fine from there.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Ah! The reason I asked the question was that I didn't realise that there were 2 tags for No 4 and I was uncertain which one if was connected to. Clearly it doesn't matter. However, I do know that brown was on No 6 and purple on No 3.
Expert:  Daniel replied 2 months ago.

6 and 3 tags are the same so to be honest it doesnt matter which way round they go.

The compressor wire which is black always goes to number 4.

But a bit strange you have 2 tags for number 4. Are you able to post a picture of the tags on the thermostat?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I have checked the no 4 tags with a meter and they are common. I think that is all we can do. Thank you Daniel.

Just checked the part number of the stat and number 4 is double tagged so you can use any of them as they are linked together in there.
