Customer Question

I have a dishwasher model number LS12-E2300 flashing AOS (or could be A05) in the LED display. Don't have a manual and inherited it when moved into house 4 years ago.

Hi Mark,

Based on a previous question we had I think the attached manual is for your dishwasher as LS12-E2300 is a type number and the model is BFV68 - does that look like yours?

Rich

Hi Rich,
Thanks for that. Yes, looks like the right manual. However, it doesn’t give any error codes and their meanings, only to ‘call Hotpoint Service for assistance’. Any idea what AOS means or who at Hotpoint can advise?

Hi Mark,

I can't find error codes specifically for this model, but on another Hotpoint model A05 indicates:

Circulation pump blocked or faulty

  • Check filters
  • Check circulation pump motor for blockages
  • Check main circulation pump

First, try cleaning the filter assembly as shown on Pg 11 of the manual. Also, clean the spray arms asper Pg 11.

If neither of those help, check that the drain hose or where it goes into (usually under the sink) is free from blockages.

Rich

Thanks Richard. The spray arms and filters were all OK. However, because the unit is fitted I’ll need to pull away the panel surrounds (in a way that doesn’t destroy them) to look at the outflow and pump. Haven’t had a chance to do this yet. Regards, Mark
