Hello Paul and welcome! I'm Billy and i will assist you with this. Feel free to ask if further info is needed.

My apologies for the delay, thank you for your patience.

- Which ECU sensor was replaced?
- what scan tool or computer is the garage using to communicate with your vehicle?
- which warning light is on (engine, ABS, transmission, airbag etc...)?

Hello Billy,

Thanks for getting back to me.

The airbag light stays on.

It was the airbag ECU sensor Bosch 8DO 959 655 L.

I don't know what type it was a large hand held red one sorry.

Hope this helps.

Paul.

Hello Paul,

So it is the airbag light being on dash. The sensor is for resetting the airbag ECU. IF the car has been in an accident, the crash data also needs resetting, to be able to connect to the module.
For this, you need a specialist to reset this module (you can call bba-reman.com), or get a new module.
The best scan tool to work on this Audi would be the VAGCOM, so you need a workshop having this, if you want to try to communicate properly.

Either way get back to me with your results, or if further info is needed, so we proceed accordingly.

Regards, Billy
