I'm thinking of buying a 2007 Q7 3.0 TDi SE Quattro with 77,000

Resolved Question:

I'm thinking of buying a 2007 Q7 3.0 TDi SE Quattro with 77,000 miles on the clock.
Can you tell me what type of timing belt will be on this vehicle and when should it be replaced. Also is there anything else I should be looking out for. The car has a full history and is MOT'd till March 2015. It also has a full panoramic sun roof.
Thanks for your help.

Hello Billy

this engine is on a cam chain so never requires changing

What to watch out for

there are cases of MMI buttons needing repalcing at significant expense the same can be true of the dash panel display

there's also been cases of and air suspension software problem on some cars

the door locking servos can also sometimes fail and require replacement

glow plug relays can stick on forcing the car inot limp home
