Hi,

Thank you.

Firstly you can only make yourself bankrupt if you owe more than £750.

The costs are £220 for the Court fee and £600 for the petition deposit.

Would you like to discuss this further?

Kind regards

What is the petition deposit and do I get this back? Thank you.
Expert:  Alex J. replied 3 years ago.
Hi,

Thank you.

When the bankruptcy is finalised the deposit will be reimbursed into your estate in bankruptcy.

The petition deposit is a deposit on account of the costs of the official receiver.

Kind regards
