what scan tool are you using to retrieve that code?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
While I was resetting the warning light, the code appeared on the screen

Fgsstnre mean chassis number.

You were in your cars hidden on board comptuer menu.

If you carry out the correct steps, the read out will give you Fgsstnre followed by the chassis number (vin number of the car) of the car.

this is not a fault. this is normal and expected behavior when you carry out certain steps in the on board computer.

Please do not forget to click a positive rating as this is the only way I receive credit for my answer, thank you. Best wishes with your vehicle.

Thanks but how do I clear the symbols - picture on screen shows a car on a ramp but doesn't stay illuminated?
Expert:  Steve replied 3 years ago.

that has nothing to do with Fgsstnre

you can try to reset it with the process below

if it wont reset, unhook the battery for an hour and try again. If it still won't reset, then there is a fault and BMW will need to scan the car.

as your question regarding Fgsstnre has been answered, please kindly select a positive rating so that I receive credit for my answer, thank you.
