the first / only step in diagnosing a DSC or ABS fault is to have the faults read from the car and ideally live inputs monitored to determine why the system is cutting in

 

the system is malfunctioning and intervening when it should not be, but this could be for many possible reasons. Commonly it would be a wheel speed sensor failure or failure of the control unit for the system.

 

unfortunately a fault scan and real time diagnostic is the only way to gain clarity

going on from yesterdays contact...The car has been into diagnostic centre and the car computer has been reset after faults read....3 faults: glow plugs, headlight bulb and rear brake pads which were replace 12 weeks ago along with new sensor. when car is moving and orange triangle starts to flash the test equipment loses contact from the car at that point

this suggests a possible module fault to me.

 

 

you will need to be sure that full blown factory BMW diagnostic equipment is being used for this diagnosis

The vehicle has been re-diagnosed by updated system. The NSR wheel was reporting that it was spinning 15-20 mph more than the other wheels. The Wheel speed sensor was faulty and was replaced.
