Hi, I have a 2003 318 csi convertible, the brake pedal goes

Resolved Question:

Hi,
I have a 2003 318 csi convertible, the brake pedal goes hard intermittently making braking difficult. I have had the servo replaced which initially cured the problem but it has come back and the garage who changed the servo cannot solve the problem. - Any ideas?

Hello

I'd suggest also replacing the vacuum hose and its 1 way valve as well

there's a large 1/2" hose that runs to the brake booster from the inlet manifold

I've known these to collaspe internally and create a restriction so preventing any vacum from being generated and there's a 1 way valve in the pipe on some models that can also sieze up, creating the same issue
