X3 which has lost power (revving) and struggling up hills.

Resolved Question:

X3 which has lost power (revving) and struggling up hills. AA assessed and found fault code P3263 which is to do with an air flow sensor. Still just about driveable (40mph uphill on motorway). Do I need a main dealer to sort this out or can independent garages do it cheaper?

Hello
I will provide an honest answer. I trust this will be appreciated. Please remember that a low rating PUNISHES me for being honest and that I receive nothing for my time until a positive rating is clicked.
Any shop can replace an airflow sensor but I would recommend using at least. A bmw/german car specialist.
Please let me know if you have further questions. Please do not forget to click a positive rating as this is the only way I receive credit for my answer, thank you. Best wishes with your vehicle.
