does the car have comfort access, where you leave the battery in your pocket to unlock and start the car?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

dont know what you mean by comfort access the batt is inside the key fob itself have been told on the e61 tourer that it is a common fault and that there is some sort of amplifier which corrodes but do not want to be buying one if not the problem wonderd if the radio problem was something to do with it or just coincedental not problem to lock car with key and have had keys tested to see if they send a signal they seem to be ok

i have sent you more info haveyou not recived it

Expert:  Steve replied 2 years ago.

I explained comfort access

it is where you can leave the key in your pocket and unlock the car simply by approaching, or start the car without putting the key in the dash

does the car have this or not?

Customer: replied 2 years ago.

the keyfob should open doors and the boot also open and close the windows will not start car the key has to in the the dash so no to your question

Expert:  Steve replied 2 years ago.
if you do not have this option, how did you replace the key batteries? they are not replaceable, the keys are sealed.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

the batt is recharged whilst ignition is on however i sent one away to have a new one fitted they appear to be sending a signal what i would to know is what receives the signal on the car
