1999 Z3. Hazard flashers inop. New switch and relay- no change. With ignition on, LH indicator causes hazard light switch to flash when both activated. MOT due- please help !!!

if the relay and hazard switch have been replaced, the problem is most likely the turn signal stalk or wiring short of some kind. This is a relatively simple circuit so there isn't much else likely to cause this.

Hi- I substituted an indicator switch- no change. Then I called in a local mobile Auto Electrician who diagnosed a disconnected wire from the hazard switch to earth. He bridged that and all is OK now. The likely culprit is a corroded connection on the crash sensor under a seat. Z3s are known to suffer from water ingress to that area. When I swap out the seats- we'll see.
