Customer Question

I changed my car battery and the car started idling fine but I realised I could't accelerate and after a while it stopped like there was no petrol with petrol showing empty when there is plenty fuel.

Hello.

There is a switch under the passenger side front seat that will reset the supply to the fuel pump.

However the gauge reading should not be affected by the switch activating which means you may have another problem also.

The next thing to do is have a scan tool connected to the vehicle to see if any fault codes have been stored.

You should also check the engine timing belt for damage.
