HI and welcome to just answer.
Do you mean ESP?
Yes sorry Bob I also replaced the side light bulbs yesterday but had not started the car until today. The bulbs work fine I,m wondering if it could be that replacing the bulbs has thrown the electrical management system ? The hand book does say to have them replaced at a specialist garage , but they were so easy to do I did them :(
hi thanks for the reply.
changing the bulbs will not cause the non start and the ESP will not the non start.
ESP stands for electronic stabillity programme and is link with the ABS traction control etc.
does the engine turn over?
are there any other warnings lights on the dash?
battery, engine, steering wheel ,esp
hi john .
can you get a set of jump leads or charge the battery?
Bob got it started esp light still on and the steering wheel light ?
these lights have been known to come on when the voltage is low and can sometines be recalibrated if you can find an open space drive the car no faster that 20mph for 50 yards the slow down to walking speed turn the steering full lock to the left the full lock to the right straighten up the proceed for another 50 yards at no more than 20mph.
give this a try and let me know if the lights have gone out .
Car has gone into recovery mode only revs so far :( at least it's going now will take it to my local garage tomorrow thanks Bob :)
if you need more help in future will be glad tohelp .
Hi Bob it's going fine now a combination of opening and closing all the doors pressing the key fob and holding each icon down + what you said :) Car can't be sat and reved has to be driven :) Thanks :)
hi John .
disconnect the battery for 20 minutes this will sometimes reset the engine control module.
