Hi..

Hopefully i can help..

Does it actually open from the inside handle or the outside handle since this occurred?

Has this been sudden failure or something thats been progressing?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It is the Tail Gate door which will not open, not the passenger door, and No there has not been a previous problem

Hi..there thanks for you reply..

Ok..sometimes it might be case of thumping the area around the lock just incase it just need jolt to maybe spring it back into life to maybe hopefully get the boot open..sometimes that may work aswell as ensure nothing actually got stuck in the catch mechanism inside the boot at the catch itself..you will need to climb into the back im afraid to get any further forward if the catch has gone, observe or check for emeragncy relese hole on the catch to insert a screwdriver to pop it open if not then remove the boot panel this will or should however let you get acess to the lock mechanisim to maybe try and get the boot open manually rather then resort to a flathead screwdriver into the lock to force it open at the bottom..its either fault with the release soleinod "not uncommon maybe due to water ingress" or the catch mechanism itself if you dont hear it operate when you lock and unlock the central locking itself or with the release button...i do hope this helps
