Mark :

Hello, my name is Mark and I will try help you with this.

Mark :

This has been caused by a simple wiring fault. Somewhere in the wiring loom to the door a wire has chaffed through to earth and this has caused it to heat up.

Mark :

Chaffed wiring can be caused by poor design, an earlier poor repair, a missing security clip which allows the wiring to move etc.
