Hi..there thanks for your reply..sorry had a system internet issue and couldnt get access..

Ok..the warning will means the ecu has detected a fault with emissions control system - this means the exhaust gases which a re montiored by the oxygen lambda sensors on the exhaust are out of tolerance - this means you either have a ignition missfire / air intake leak / a fault with the mentioned lambda sensors not reading correctly or the cat converter itself has failed..if at any point you do face a problem like this is best to have the vehicle scanned first .dagnostically as there will be fault codes logged seeing as the warning is on.any good garage would perform such a test to diagnose first what the ecu is seeing as fault and then make checks based on those results you get..especially with cars not often used you may find the most common fault will be with the lambda sensors on the exhaust system..you could of course try a fuel injector cleaner in the fuel tank and give the car good long run on the motor way provided the engine is missfiring etc..so as above the best advice is to have it scanned first..i do hope this helps. apologies again for the delay
