I have a 2008 c4 Picasso and is starting no problem and even ticks over but as soon as I travel about half a mile white smoke belches out of the exhaust what could cause this?

Thanks for the info.
White smokes is produced from burning engine oil and is coming from the turbo seals.
the turbo on this engine has been a bit of a problem over the years .
the problem is the oil feed for the turbo gets partially blocked and starves the turbo bearings of lubrication thus damaging the seals on tick over the turbo is static when engine s loaded up the oil is forced past the turbo seals and enters the combustion process .
Unfortunatly the turbo will need replacing and it is upmost important that the new turbo is fitted with a new feed pipe with the fine filter removed.
