Hi..

Hopefully i can help..

The engine management system warning can cover a huge area of possible faults - so it would be hard to say exactly what your ecu is picking up on and what sensor/ecu controlled component is causing the issue..by the sounds of it it could be crank position.cam sensor related - but again it would be strongly recommended not to clear or reset the engine light but to instead actually retrive the P fault codes and see what the ecu has picked up on only then will we know for sure what step you need to take next - check wise bases and or replacement..if this only occurred after a routine service then it might be worth having the garage concerned re-look it over or a visual inspection yourself around the engine to be sure nothing has been misplaced..pretty much checking all the electrical plug connectors you can see/hoses/vaccum lines etc are all intact and connected...but the key here to get this solved at least would be to find out what fault codes the cars is storing when the engine light comes on..and then take it from there based on results of the test..I do hope this helps
