no there is no spark

when the jump leads were put on there was a lot of sparks and now it is dead

the sparks were before it stopped where the jump leads were put on

Fitting jump leads should not cause sparks when they are fitted correctly. You may get a small spark at the initial connection but as soon as the connection is sound the sparks should stop.
