Mark :

Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I will try help you with this.

Mark :

You will need to remove the instrument cluster to get into the rev counter. However, it still might not work once you get the pointer to the correct position.

Customer:

is that having to remove the dashboard?

Customer:

hi, do i need to remove the dash board to gain access to the instrument panel?

Mark :

No

Customer:

how then do i go about doing this?

Mark :

Remove the steering cowling first.

Customer:

can you please give me a few more pointers?

Customer:

anymore hints and tips?

Mark :

Once you remove the cowling you should be able to see the screws that hold the panel in place.

Customer:

what and it will just drop out?

Mark :

With a slight pull

Mark :

screws in the surround, 2 at the top, and 2 hidden behind the rubber flap

Customer:

so a bit easier than I thought, anymore advise? once removed then how do I put the dial pointer to the correct position?

Mark :

That's a bit more involved.

Mark :

Once you have it out you have to dismantle it.

Customer:

okay how?

Mark :

Take the cover glass off.

Mark :

It will have screws and clips on the rear

Customer:

it's not a sealed unit then?

Mark :

It might be.

Mark :

Could be glued after assembly.

Customer:

or buy another one!

Mark :

That's why I said at start that even if you get it done it might still not work.

Customer:

okay thanks .....

Mark :

No problem

Mark :

Please remember to rate my assistance.

Mark :
