HI Greg

With original alarm fault computer showed RH rear door open however this problem sorted its self and alarm arms ok with no problem.

However now the door open read out for rear doors is :-

RH rear open computer read out says its the LH door open.

LH rear open computer read out says its the RH door open.

Front doors and boot read outs are correct

As advised by garage I disconnected battery for 1 hr then reconnected problem still there.

Hi Barry

Is this checked with a dealer scan tool .

If checked with a dealer scan tool then check with the dealer if there is a reflash for this concern , PCM may just need reflashing to sort out this issue as files may be mixed up

The check carried out at a non franchise garage, the device was a general purpose one and I doubt if it has reflashing programme for Jaguar.

I would not worry to much about this flaw Barry , Don't think this will cause you any problems just one door for another .

As long as you know . the scan tool could also of been the problem not reading 100% .

As long as the rear door issue has sorted itself out then all is good .

But preventive measure spray WD 40 on/in the locking actuators at least every 6 months as they tend to stick and cause problems like you just had ..
