Under what driving conditions do you hear this knocking?

Customer:

Mark :

All

Customer:

yes

Mark :

I would suggest you need new ball joints.

Customer:

when the car was on the ramp there was no movement on the bottom ball joint track rod ends

Mark :

That doesn't mean they cant knock.

Mark :

When you replaced the top bearings, did they show movement?

Mark :

Were the front shocks found to be leaking or worn?

Customer:

Don,t know about top bearing but one of the shockers fell to bits when removed.could it be the anti roll bar links

Mark :

It could be that also.

Mark :

Normally though they only knock when cornering.

Mark :

Roll bar is used when cornering.

Mark :

Do you need to know anything else?

Customer:

would it be the main bottom balljoint or the

Mark :

Main bottom ball joint.

Customer:

Thanks for the help.don,t want to keep replacing parts needlessly

Mark :

If the noise happens all the time then ball joints are the most likely cause along with top bearings.

Mark :

All other components usually knock when turning.
