I have a 2009 1.9 Vauxhall vivaro and nothing, even a Haynes

Resolved Question:

I have a 2009 1.9 Vauxhall vivaro and nothing, even a Haynes manual shows me where the EGR valve is! The vehicle loses power momentarily when warmed up (3 bars on temp gauge). if I drive sedately it doesn't seem to do it. There is no smoke out the back so assuming it is not the turbo and trying to eliminate cheap solutions first. I would like to locate the valve and take it off to clean it. Is this accessible or do you have to remove items that require coolant draining etc.
Please can you give me some guidance on locating and removing this valve.
Thanks
Steve

Mark :

Can you confirm the engine code.

Mark :

You shouldn't get a 1.9 vivaro in 2009. It should be a 2.0 CDTI engine.

Hi Mark, What about my questions regarding ease of cleaning, components that require removing for access that may involve draining coolant?

Mark :

Did you locate the egr valve?

Customer:

We now have a good idea where it is but if it involves draining coolant etc then discover it is not the egr valve it is a lot of work for nothing. Hence my question regarding instruction and does it involve draining coolant before removing to clean.
