Hi After using full trottle to overtake or whatever, I gradually

Hi
After using full trottle to overtake or whatever, I gradually lose all trottle until I end up with just Rickover and it crawls along, if I stop and switch off for a while it seems to reset itself.

My car is a range rover td6


3 litre angine, auto


04 reg


no warning lights


have had it with the garage, they checked erg valve I think they called it,


changed diesel filter and air filter, was all ok and I done a bit of driving one morning and overtook cars on a couple of occasions , five mins later I can notice I am putting my foot down a little further trying to get a response from the trottle, then I end up as I said with just tick over


garage have had it on the diagnostic machine but it didn't give any faults

How many miles do you have on this engine .

Hi ..

When this happens do you hear any loud sucktion noise, or have any smoke come out the exhaust pipe.

Who did the diagnostic check and what scan tool did they use .

no suction noises or any type of smoke


no symptoms or noises whatsoever just loss of trottle


my garage done the diagnostic check I would not know what tool they used

Hi Michael


Sorry to drag this out but when you go into limp mode a code is stored , if no codes are
stored then you have a possible ECM malfunction so we need to be 100% sure the right tools are being used as aftermarket tool will not always have the capability to dig into all the system to find a problem .
In some cases like yours i have no choice but to take the car into the Land Rover dealers to be checked with there scan tool and have a complete system scan done .

Now is your garage a Land Rover dealership .
