Hello, welcome. My name is***** will do my very best to assist you with your question. I apologize if you have been waiting long for a response.
What causes this issue is the temperature actuator inside of the dash is stuck on hot and will not switch to cold. To correct this issue the actuator would need to be replaced.

Hi thanks for your reply, this seems the likely answer.

I assume that the temperature actuator is the unit situated behind the

temperature control knob is this correct ?

Expert:  Mike Kelly replied 2 years ago.
Yes that is correct. Thank you.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I have checked out the thermostat with a vacuum gauge on the vacuum

pipe by the on off tap, and this seems to function correctly.

I've actuated the tap manually, but this seems to make no difference,

to the temperature so I've ordered a new tap.

Will let you know what happens when its fitted.c
