A Skoda Yeti, 5yrs old in April 2015, 30,000 miles. Is it likely to need to need a new cam belt? What is the difference between a v belt and a toothed belt?

Timing belt is replaced at 60.000miles or 6 years . you don't need to replace your belt just yet, unles you have a front crankshaft oil seal leak which will contaminate your timing belt
then must be replaced .

V belt are for your alternator water pumps etc the tooth belt will be the timing belt .
