Hi..

Hopefully i can help..

Could be a number things to cause that but normally the most common on the Vectra c with the cdti engines.. - its possible your DPF is in need of regenerating or the dpf is full.normally the car does it itself - but this can be quite common on alot of diesels with dpf's not getting enough use and thus this causes the dpf to fill quicker with soot than it can burn off under normal conditions if used everyday for long period of time say.as long as the engines running ok..it would be worth at least giving it a good hard run on a motorway for about half an hour..if that still fails to solve the problem then it has to be diagnostically checked in regards ***** ***** soot content in the filter or whether the dpf pressure sensors are at fault...added to that before giving a long run there additives out there called "cataclean" and add that to the fuel tank..and then give a good hard run..and hopefully the coil light will stay out..if not then im afraid the only option is the diagnostic route to check as mentioned above aswell as perfrom a forced regen..if that doesnt work and the dpf is indeed to full..then it has to be replaced..there no option now to delete it from the exhaust system as it will fail mot..I do hope this helps
