I have a 3 litre Jag 02 registration. There is grease leaking

Resolved Question:

I have a 3 litre Jag 02 registration. There is grease leaking from the Front prop shaft coupling and I wonder if someone could tell me if these are easy to replace. I am not technically minded. Would I be better going to the local garage?

Hello

a little grease leaking out is nothing to worry about providing that its only a trickle

however if you feel any play in the joint then it does need replacing

However they can be replaced by a competant DIY'er

providing you have a sturdy bench vice to press the cups in and out and a variety of sockets to provide press tools then its relatively striaghtforward

this video shows how its done
