We have a mark3 VW Golf GTI that has hit a pothole and damaged

Resolved Question:

We have a mark3 VW Golf GTI that has hit a pothole and damaged the drivers side front wheel (wheel slanting inward) No tyre iron so can't see properly to diagnose, need advice it a call out mechanic at home please

Hello if the whole wheel is slanting inwards and the damage isn't a buckled wheel then the lower arm on the suspension has been badly bent and the car should not be driven as this could fail entirely and cause a nasty accident. a new lower wishbone / arm will be required to make the repair if its just a buckled wheel then ideally fit the spare and get the wheel to repair shop as 90% of the time an alloy wheel can be repaired
