Hi,
I have a citreon zsara picasso deisel reg 2008
What happened was quite simply I went to start the car and it wouldn't start....my husband used jump leads and it did start.....he said I probably was now needing a new battery...whic I bought........ he replaced the battery and said he put it in the right way....unfortunately..the car didnt start ....also the locking system on the car wouldnt work ......practically nothing... I got a mechanic to tow it away....he has had it two weeks now and says he doesnt know whats wrong with it.....the car seems to start but just wont catch on....... he said he thinks it might be an ecu ...which i find hard to believe as ive never had any problems before and im worried he might be taking just an easy option and costly.....he said it didnt show on his diagnostic machined it was the ecu....also my husband insists he put the battery in the right way...any ideas on what it might be?

hello I'd suggest checking that the ECU has got power and that the main power fuses are in good condition with no burns or corrosionalso check the state of the main engine earth connections for tightness and corrosionand there should also be a couple of small earth connections that run out of the wiring loom and are secured to the engien with ring terminals and small bolts
